Fortune For Good was created with a simple belief, that fundraising should create real, visible impact for people and communities who genuinely need support. We are a New Zealand charitable trust focused on helping individuals and families facing hardship, while supporting wider community initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change.

We believe that pono, or integrity, is built through action, not just words. That is why we are committed to operating with accountability and clear purpose in everything we do. Through community support projects, partnerships and future fundraising initiatives, we aim to provide practical assistance where it can make the biggest difference.

Fortune For Good is run by a small, hands-on founding team. Every application is read and decided internally, case by case, by the people behind the trust, never by an algorithm.

Who can apply for support?
Individuals, families, community groups and charitable organisations in New Zealand who are experiencing hardship or seeking support for initiatives that create positive community impact.
What kinds of support do you fund?
Financial hardship, essential living costs, emergency assistance, health and wellbeing needs, youth and family support and community-driven projects that align with the Trust’s charitable purpose.
How do I apply?
Through the form on our apply for support page. We review every application internally and may ask for supporting documentation before a decision is made.
How are decisions made?
Every application is assessed internally, case by case, against our charitable purpose. We weigh the level of hardship or urgency, the potential positive impact, genuine need, community benefit and the funding available. We run funding rounds so we can reach urgent needs when funds are available.
What happens if my application is not successful?
We assess every application case by case against our charitable purpose and the funding available in each round. If we cannot support your application this time, you are welcome to apply again in a future round as more funds become available.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. We are a registered New Zealand charity (CC64658), so donations of $5 or more may be eligible for a donation tax credit. You receive a receipt for every gift, available any time from your donor dashboard.
Where does my donation go?
Every dollar funds hardship relief and community-impact initiatives across Aotearoa. We commit to using funds for the stated purpose and to reporting transparently on what is distributed.
Can I give monthly instead of a one-off donation?
Yes. On the donate page you can give a one-off gift or set up a recurring monthly or annual donation. If you ever need to change or pause a recurring gift, just get in touch and we will sort it.
How do you protect the people you support?
We follow a safeguarding and consent approach and the Privacy Act 2020. People we support can ask to have their name withheld or their image concealed. You can read more on our safeguarding page.
How can my business get involved?
Through founding-partner sponsorship across Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, each with founding-partner recognition during our launch phase.
